In April of 2007 I offically retired from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta. For the last year and a half I have been living and working in Southern California with Gregg Drilling & Testing, Inc. I act as a management and technical advisor for their CPT (Cone Penetration Testing) services. We completed a number of one-day CPT seminars in April of 2007 in Concord, Sacramento and Huntington Beach, California. These intensive 8-hour courses are offered by Gregg each year and provide a good introduction to the principles and uses of CPT data for design and liquefaction analysis.
